2. Adopted new organizational policy and procedure documents.
3. Streamlined PR efforts with a new tagline, descriptive paragraph, and new rack card.
4. Worked together with the City of Bradenton Planning Department through an Ad Hoc Committee to ultimately pass the Expansion of the Overlay District.
2015 Goals
1.To design and execute a self-sustaining map of the Village district.
2. To design and implement additional fundraising events.
3. To streamline and strengthen committee structure.
4. Improve and strengthen marketing efforts, social media, and web presence.
Needs Statement
1. Gateway Signage- An artistic sign has been designed to mirror the shape of the historic cottages in the Village of the Arts. These colorful signs would denote entrances to the Village from major thoroughfares. These have been estimated at $500 each and we would need eight of these. The total for this project would be $4,000.

2. Neighborhood Beautification and Placemaking-  We often have volunteer days to maintain and improve the appearance of the neighborhood. We needs funds to support paint for fences, tools for yard work, and supplies for trash clean up. In order to create a stronger sense of place in the Village, we are looking for additional signage denote village boundaries, parking, directions to galleries, etc. Annual Budget $3000.00

3. Cultural Partnership Memberships- In order to improve regional and national exposure as a destination, the Village would benefit from membership in organizations that help support marketing efforts.
Total: $1,100
Background Statement
The Village of the Arts was formed by the City of Bradenton, in conjunction with a group of local artists, as an initiative to transform a neighborhood of urban blight. The Artists Guild of Manatee, Inc. was established in 1999 as a non-profit to support these efforts and promote the community. It is a unique district with zoning to accommodate live/work/sell activities.

It currently has over 40 galleries, restaurants, healing arts destinations and more. There are ArtWalk events the first Friday and Saturday of each month, year round. Businesses have varied hours, some open all week. There is currently one fundraising event, a Fashion Show brunch each April.

The Village of the Arts has no paid staff, relying on volunteers and Guild Members to serve on the board, to serve on committees, and to carry out the work of events and other initiatives.

Comments
Governance Comments by Organization In order to reach more of the community we are planning to develop 4 new board positions in the coming year. The community will be divided into 4 sections and one director will come from that specific session. Our goal is to extend and personalize our reach throughout the community to all the residents. To more easily identify those that are in critical need of support and aid.
