It is the mission of The SixFinger Foundation to develop projects that provide families new opportunities to learn and grow together. Our vision is to create learning events that will make positive impacts upon families and their communities for many generations to come. Focusing on creating and implementing projects and events for students, academic institutions, corporations and other non-profits we strive to develop new relationships with communities and families seeking support.

Accomplishments:
 #1 - Completed 14 month fund raising campaign with Bob Evans Restaurant;
#2 - secured partnership with GWL Publishing to assist in distribution of "Candles of Hope" therapeutic poetry anthology;
#3 - assisted in creating supplemental colouring book;
#4 - created "Palliative Swag" campaign;
#5 - began organizing and marketing "Palliative Swag" donations.
 
Goals

Needs Statement

1.) We are currently seeking funding for the "Palliative Swag" campaign which places therapeutic poetry anthologies written by and benefiting cancer survivors and their families in local cancer centers at no cost as well as the colouring book, colored pencils and puzzles. 

Total cost: $25 per complete bag
 
2.) Our current "Palliative Swag" campaign will allow 200 custom gift bags to be handed out at an Annual Survivors Garden Luncheon June 6, 2016.
 
Total cost: $2,000 
 
3.) We would like to create t-shirts for our volunteers to wear to help identify them.
 
Total cost: $500
 
4.) Each month we promote our current campaign by getting out and talking to local business owners. We create marketing materials as well as flyers to be handed out.
 
Total cost: $50 per month

Statement from the Board Chair/Board President
Programs
Description
 The SixFinger Foundation has curated items to alleviate, satisfy and support oneself when faced with illness. The “Palliative Swag” campaign places therapeutic poetry anthologies written by and benefiting cancer survivors and their families, colouring books, colored pencils and puzzles in cancer centers at no cost. We donate bundles of different combinations of the items to cancer patients and facilities based on their requests.

Short Term Success We view success as donations made to facilities free of charge. We have already raised funds 60 anthologies, 100 coloring books, and 100 puzzles to be donated. We are creating new partnerships to allow for growth of this campaign.
Long Term Success We will view our program as complete when we are able to make donations and supply facilities with requested materials on a reoccurring bases without needing to source funding for each request. 
Program Success Monitoring We view the program success through the number of items donated to cancer treatment facilities free of cost. 
Program Success Examples We have completed a long-term fundraising relationship with Bob Evans Restaurant to help promote community awareness and fund raise for the "Candles of Hope"campaign. We have created a relationship with Florida Institute Cancer Center which will allow their patients regular access to our materials, and they have begun telling their colleagues about our organization and mission. We have received inquiries from multiple additional facilities that we are working to accommodate their new requests for materials.
