Mission

We see the hurting young men of this generation, not as the majority of society views them -- hopeless, bums, jail-birds, and hoodlums. Instead, we see them as we believe God sees them, a new Creation, forgiven and changed men who have a future and a hope. Loving Hands Ministries is dedicated to rehabilitating these young men through discipleship. We provide a residential rehabilitation program that has successfully created thousands of drug-free disciples for 33 years at no charge to the resident or their family.

Impact Statement
Top Goals of 2017:
  • Complete our brand new chapel building at our Dade City campus completely debt free!
  • Gather enough support at our new Miami Campus to start taking men into that location
  • Pay off a significant portion of our mortgage at our Palmetto campus
Needs Statement
Loving Hands Ministries provides housing, food, training, classes and anything else needed for our residents for the entire two year program.

  1. The average cost to house a man in jail (many of our residents are court mandated) is $2700 a month. Loving Hands manages to house each man for around $1500 a month. We currently have 28 men between our two locations which comes out to $42,000 a month or over $500,000 a year! However, Loving Hands Ministries never charges for our services so we completely rely on your support! Our biggest need is simple, a monthly reoccurring donation to keep changing the lives of the men and the families that come into our program.
  2. We are in desperate need of funds and materials to complete our new chapel/classroom building project at our Dade City campus. The men currently worship and learn in a very small room that doesn't provide much room for the men to spread out. Once the chapel is built, we are planning to convert this room into a dining room so we don't have to eat at a kitchen set up in the kitchen.
  3. We are hoping to raise $100,000 a year to put towards the mortgage at our headquarters campus. The total mortgage is $700,000 so we are praying to have it paid off by the end of 2022.
Background Statement
Loving Hands Ministries was founded in 1982 by Wendell and Nancy Wilson as a result of a God-inspired vision to minister the love of God to the lost and troubled youth of this generation. In 1984 the first Regeneration Center opened in Bradenton, Florida. Loving Hands established it's second location in Dade City, Florida in 1992. The Ministry's vision extended into India in 1993, where we oversee more than 200 churches, an orphanage, a Christian school, a Bible College, and Seminary.

Under the able leadership of the Wilson's, our dedicated staff, volunteers and supports, we have seen God's love change thousands of lives and destinies!

Description
Loving Hands Ministries is a cost-free Christian based two year residential rehabilitation program for men with life controlling problems ie: drug, alcohol; & other addictions. LHM provides complete care, including housing, food, and training,  at absolutely no cost to the resident or his family.
The men are in the classroom over 6 hours a day learning a curriculum that is 100% from the Bible. Pastors and church volunteers come in daily, with three classes per day. The classroom work also includes memorizing Bible verses and completing Christian book reports every 10 days. The men have daily exercise, chores, work projects, counseling, worship and prayer. There is no smoking, caffeine, coffee, TV, movie's or newspaper. We provide an atmosphere that focuses 100% on developing a relationship with Jesus to treat the addiction at it's source- the sinful nature of man's heart.

Short Term Success The residents in this program show noticeable signs of improvement after only a couple of months. After one year in the program residents enter a staff training phase and begin to help disciple and mentor the younger residents. There is also a large percentage of residents who graduate the program and stay on staff (unpaid) to give back to the organization and the program that has changed their lives. Every staff member is currently studying part time at a Bible college or Bible university.
Long Term Success Loving Hands Ministries has housed, counseled and graduated thousands of men in its 30 years of service. Over 70% of men who graduated the program,  have broken the addiction completely and remain productive members of society. The program has not only changed the lives of the men, but completely rebuilt and strengthened families as a whole.
Program Success Monitoring The program goes through a comprehensive evaluation several times a year with tweaks and changes happening daily. With such an unpredictable demographic, the program is constantly changing to be more effective and provide better results.
Program Success Examples
Instead of listing the hundreds of men who have graduated the program and now lead successful lives as a productive citizens, here is a testimony from one of the mothers of a resident who recently graduated:

Loving Hands was the vessel that God used to answer our prayers and gave us back our beautiful son. Loving Hands' shined a light in our life and in Omar's when all there was was darkness. Today, our son's future is so bright! He is getting married to a beautiful woman of faith, attending Southeastern University and working! We are so blessed! All the glory to GOD..he continues to work in our lives, praise HIM!! THANK YOU Pastor Wendell and Sister Nancy for your commitment to save our sons! We are forever in debt to you."

Description
In 1993 the founders of Loving Hands Ministries had a vision from God to do more for people who needed it. The Ministry decided to take the leap of faith and expanded into India. Loving Hands Ministries now oversees and supports more than 230 churches, an orphanage, a Christian school, a Bible College and Seminary.

The mission of Loving Hands India is simple, to reach the unreached millions in India and to bring them the saving knowledge of Jesus. Some of the ways we do that are:
  • implementing varios social, cultural, and health awareness programs at grass root levels which include nutrition and  sanitation
  • financial assistance to provide a church building to every group of villages, remote agencies, hamlets, and towns
  • to provide medical and health care to children, women, and old aged people
  • to fight malnutrition through family assistance programs
  • providing shelter, food, clothes, and medicines to those affected by natural calamities

Short Term Success Short-term success would be the addition of at least 10 churches a year to our network of over 200 current churches.
Long Term Success Long-term success would be achieved if we could build a Christian network of churches, orphanages, Bible colleges, and Seminary's that would was constantly opening new facilities across India and that was completely self-sustaining as far as funding and teaching direction.
Program Success Monitoring We monitor our success of this program by multiple factors, one of which is very easy to determine, whether or not our churches keep their doors open. We can lose churches because of funding, local political opposition and population served by each church. We also monitor our success by how much funding we send over each  month.
Program Success Examples This last year we had incredible success and managed to open over 60 churches all across India.
