Our goals for the coming year include:
  1. To expand Devoted, our Sexual Integrity Program by making it a greater priority with our on-going Earn While You Learn clients, and by offering it as a group class with pre-teen and teen girls in our community. Our desire is to see more women learn what it means to walk in sexual wholeness in all areas of their life - physical, emotional, social, intellectual, and spiritual.
  2. To expand Knighthood, our Fatherhood Initiative program by facilitating an evening "Quest for Authentic Manhood" class for young men/fathers in our community.
  3. To increase awareness of Courageous, our Post-Abortive Healing and Recovery Program so that more women who have walked through the pain of an abortion, may receive the hope and healing they need.
  4. To reach more of our Spanish speaking population, by offering a broader range of parenting classes in Spanish.
Needs Statement
  1. We need additional volunteer medical professionals such as LPNs and RNs, to verify pregnancy tests for those clients needing Medicaid.
  2. We are looking for 1 to 2 additional volunteer ultrasound technicians to perform level 1, non-diagnostic maternity scans. Our goal is to have an ultrasound tech available each day we are open.
  3. We need an additional male facilitator to meet with the men in the fatherhood initiative classes. We would like to offer a men's group on Thursday evenings.
  4. We have an ongoing need for volunteers with a heart for the sanctity of life. Some of our volunteer needs include Client Advocates, including those whom are bi-lingual, and individuals to work in the Baby Boutique.

Care Net Manasota Crisis Pregnancy Center exists to help women in Manatee and surrounding counties, who find themselves facing a pregnancy decision. We provide pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, medically accurate options-counseling on all pregnancy choices, and medical, legal, and social service referrals. We also provide referrals to pre-screened and approved adoption agencies, should they choose adoption as the best option for them and their baby. Through our “Earn While You Learn” education program, mom’s can attend pregnancy and parenting classes to earn points that can be spent in our Baby Boutique. Points can be redeemed for numerous items including cribs, car seats, diapers, and wipes. Care Net Manasota even offers a fatherhood program called Knighthood, for men seeking guidance on caring for their family and being the best dad they can be. Courageous, the “Forgiven & Set Free” program is for women who have walked through the pain of a terminated pregnancy and are ready to receive healing and restoration and Devoted, our “Sexual Integrity” program, is designed to teach women how to walk in sexual wholeness in all areas of their life - physical, emotional, social, intellectual, and spiritual.

All of these services are provided FREE of charge through the generosity of individuals that believe in the mission of Care Net Manasota. Please consider supporting this worthwhile cause, so that we can continue providing compassion, hope, and help to women, babies, and families in our community.
The Earn While You Learn Program is an educational incentive program to equip our clients with positive parenting skills.  There are 75 available classes that educate on prenatal care, nutrition, labor and delivery, newborn care and even when the baby is older. By attending the classes on a consistent basis, clients earn points to "purchase" needed baby items.  Items most requested are cribs, pack & plays, car seats, diapers, wipes, formula and clothing. This program helps the client be accountable and invest in their own success.

Short Term Success
Short term success comes in many different ways. Each new baby born is a success story in itself.  By equipping the parent with skills and material items that they need to raise the baby, we raise the probability that the child will be healthy and happy.
Long Term Success
Our goal is that by educating and equipping the client with positive parenting skills, they and their child will benefit from living in a mentally, physically, emotionally and socially balanced home.  Research shows that children who receive nurturing, have their physical needs met and have positive interaction with a caring parent will develop at healthier rates and suffer fewer illnesses than those children born into an environment where few parenting skills exist. Also, this program provides basic material items that the baby needs to be safe and to thrive.
Program Success Monitoring
The Client Services Director keeps a file on each client with statistics that are used to determine success.  Copious notes are taken each time the client comes for an appointment.
Program Success Examples
"Molly" came to our Center for a free pregnancy test.  Her greatest fear was confirmed.  She was facing an unplanned pregnancy alone since the father of her baby had just walked out on her.  Devastated and hopeless, she enrolled in our program.  These are her words, "Honestly, I do not know what I would have done if this organization was not around. The Earn While You Learn program is really great because you are not just learning about your pregnancy and parenting, but also earning points to get great baby things such as diapers, a crib and a car seat.  My precious son is a true gift in my life."
The basis for this program is to equip men with the tools they need to be a man of character in today's culture. This is a 25 lesson series written in the same format as our Earn While You Learn program with DVDs, worksheets and homework assignments. The message is profound for men at any stage of life, but vital for men just starting out.  Now, when male clients arrive with their female counterparts, we have a curriculum that can change their lives, making them the best father they can be for their child/children.

Short Term Success
Short term success is measured by the client's consistent attendance and their exit interviews.
Long Term Success
The series is being used to energize men to make their pursuit of noble manhood a lifelong priority. Imagine the transforming power of men honestly examining their lives and taking the courageous steps necessary to embrace authentic manhood on a journey to become men of integrity.  That is the goal of Men's Fraternity.
Program Success Monitoring
Client Services Director keeps a file of information on each client with attendance, homework, notes and any other statistics to determine success.
Program Success Examples
A recent client said, "This program really helped me understand what a man should be and inspired me to be a better man.  I would recommend this to any teenage guy, or any male of any age. Robert Lewis (writer of the program) really knows how to make everything clear, and he used humor too."
The Sexual Integrity Program is designed to teach women how to walk in sexual wholeness in all areas of their life-- physical, emotional, social, intellectual and spiritual.  This biblically-based curriculum is a valuable tool inside the pregnancy resource center.

Program Success Examples
A client, "Lori" wrote, "Through the Sexual Integrity Program my eyes were opened and I made a decision to refrain from sexual relations and wait for the husband God will deliver to me one day. I'm still a work in progress, but Care Net Manasota has been a big part of my growth to find self respect and respect for others."
Description No matter what drives a woman to end a pregnancy, there are physical, psychological, and spiritual side effects most don't anticipate. Feelings of guilt, shame, and grief become a heavy burden, and many women feel that they will never be free, that no one understands, and that God will never forgive them. Forgiven and Set Free was developed out of the author's own experience of being freed from the bondage of guilt and grief that followed her own abortion. She guides hurting women to bring their emotional scars "out of the dark past into His holy light" where true and lasting healing can take place. The clients who go through this program will delve into Scriptures that offer help with issues such as relief, denial, anger, forgiveness, depression, letting go, and acceptance.

Short Term Success For every woman yearning for the peace of God's forgiveness, this study can be the first step to healing and wholeness, and that begins with the very first lesson. As the client attends the weekly lessons, it is a joy to watch God slowly and gently heal those who have been suffering for many years as they face the hurts of their past.
Long Term Success For women completing the Forgiven and Set Free classes, 90% report that they know without a doubt that God has forgiven them. They state that they have forgiven themselves and others involved in their abortion decision, which brings about lasting peace and freedom. These feelings translate into every part of their lives, greatly decreasing the chances that they will choose to numb themselves with alcohol or drugs, or continue to experience feelings of depression, hopelessness, guilt and unforgiveness. 90% of these clients also state they they would never abort another child.
Program Success Monitoring Several of our clients have kept in touch with us over the years. These clients have gone on to marry, are in healthy and loving relationships, have had children, are in school or working in fields they love. We see firsthand the transformation that going through the Forgiven and Set Free program produces in the clients who complete the lessons and apply them to their own lives. From the first lesson to the last, the results are nothing short of miraculous.
Program Success Examples "Sarah" came to our center for the Forgiven and Set Free classes. After completing the eight lessons, Sarah stated, "I now know that God disciplines us out of love, and I am doing the same with my daughter, instead of disciplining her out of anger. I am sure that God has completely forgiven me and I know that when He looks at me, He says "You are pretty."
