Description

Clients enrolled in our Earn While You Learn complete educational modules weekly throughout their pregnancy and up to one year after baby’s birth. They learn important information about prenatal care, fetal development, how to care for a newborn, parenting practices and life skill courses.  As they complete these modules, they earn "Parent  Points" which can be used to earn things like diapers, wipes, baby clothes, cribs and other essential items for nursery.

Short Term Success Clients who walk through our doors in different emotional states with an unplanned pregnancy are comforted by the services, support and material goods offered. The client's confusion is reduced and confidence instilled to parent the child to grow in a stable family unit.
Long Term Success Many mothers and fathers participate in our Earn While You Learn program each year. These educational modules prepare our clients for parenthood by providing them with the necessary tools and support. The program allows us to assist them in many life skills for a more stable family unit.
Program Success Monitoring At the end of each session clients complete a closing survey.   Once a year clients complete an anonymous survey. At the completion of the program clients complete an exit survey.
Program Success Examples

Mentors meet with their clients on a regular basis with goal setting requirements and are able to see growth as the client works towards better parenting skills. The client’s feedback provides and directs their future lessons. Appreciation is demonstrated by clients who give back to the center with material goods and volunteer time.  The clients shared success stories and many words of appreciation are examples of the program’s success.

Program Linked to Organizational Strategy Yes
Population Served Females
Short Term Success Over the past year we provided approximately 172 pregnancy test, with 97% of our clients having a positive test.  We also performed several ultrasounds which resulted in choosing life.
Long Term Success The first part of our mission statement is to promote life by offering life affirming options which is sole purpose of pregnancy testing and ultrasound services.
Program Success Monitoring All clients who come to see us are able to make an informed decision regarding their pregnancy. If the client’s test is negative, it allows us to counsel them in lifestyle choices with an emphasis on STD risks. We also do survey interviews with our clients, and build relationships with those who choose to enroll in our Earn While You Learn program.
Program Success Examples Many times, our clients feel like abortion is their only option given their circumstances. Once they find the help and resources we have to offer, they are empowered to choose life for their baby.
