Background Statement

The Wee Care Christian Academy was organized in 2008 to provide early learning for preschool children in Myakka City. It began with 5 students. The initial board of directors was appointed by the Trustees of the Myakka City United Methodist Church. The Wee Care Christian Academy board recruited Marilyn Beasley as the schools Director, choose to be accredited by the Florida League of Christian Schools. Classroom materials were purchased from ABeka Book. Due to community needs the school expanded to accept children for 6 Weeks to 4 years old. The Wee Care Christian Academy has grown to 75 students and has added two portable classrooms.

A. The purpose of the Wee Care Christian Academy is to provide an opportunity for pre-school students to study in a Christ-centered academic environment.

B. To maintain a quality education learning atmosphere through the Following

  2. Dedicated Christian teachers
  3. Contact and communication with patents
  4. Christ-centered curriculum
